The chicken industry claims
‘high welfare standards’.
Don’t buy it.

Just like their chickens, their claim doesn’t stand up.

The Truth About Frankenchickens

Big Ag calls them “high-performing broilers”. We’re calling bullsh*t.

These are overbred, factory-farmed Frankenchickens and they are sold in most supermarkets, from Aldi to Sainsbury’s, and in restaurant chains like KFC and Pret. The birds now reach slaughter weight in just 35 days — around four times faster than chickens in the 1950s.

As a result, lameness, broken bones, heart failure, and respiratory collapse are routine among the billion chickens raised in UK factory farms each year. The overcrowded, filthy conditions and the forced speed of growth mean the industry has to pump them with medications, including antibiotics, just to try and keep them alive. So much for it being a healthy choice! Your chicken has had more drugs than a hen do in Ibiza.

And here’s a question… Who do you think has the final say: one of the highest courts in the land or an industry that would rather funnel a few more quid to its billionaire owners and hedge fund backers than give the birds a life worth living?

Of course it’s the billionaires! When the Court of Appeal ruled that animals should not be farmed if suffering is caused by the way they are bred, the industry had a good old chuckle, ignored the ruling, and simply carried on regardless. And the government? Well, far from cracking down, it is backing plans to expand the industry.

Don’t buy it

We’ve been putting the ugly truth about factory farming in front of millions of London commuters since April 2026. First: CO2 gas chambers. Now: Fast-growing Frankenchickens.

When chickens can’t stand up in factory farms, pigs are being killed in gas chambers and our Sunday roast comes with a side of antibiotics, it’s time to take a stand. Because this isn’t a few bad apples. It’s the whole f*cking orchard.

Action We’re Taking

We’re taking the message beyond the screen. Visibility across London, people on the ground, and growing a movement to expose the deceits and disasters of factory farming.

Factory Farming is Messed Up

Ever get the feeling you’re being lied to?

When most people think of farms, they picture grassy fields, and happy animals like we see in the ads. But over the past 80 years, small-scale farming has been replaced by dirty industrial systems. We’re talking abscesses in meat, gas chambers, piglet thumping, cannibalism, filth, disease, mutilations, flies, rotting carcases, and antibiotic-riddled meat.
