The meat industry calls gassing pigs ‘humane slaughter’.
Don’t buy it.

The pigs get gassed. And you get gaslit.

The Truth About CO2 Gas Chambers

Big Ag calls it humane slaughter. We call it what it is.

The factory farming industry uses CO2 gas chambers to kill millions of pigs every year. Why? Because it’s fast.
It’s cheap. It works at scale.

Undercover footage shows pigs panicking, screaming and gasping for air as CO2 fills the gas chamber and suffocates them to death.

For over 20 years, the government’s Animal Welfare Committee has warned it causes severe animal suffering.
In 2003, they called for a full phase-out. But instead, the use of CO2 has only increased.

The Numbers Don’t Lie

companies control the meat supply for virtually every major retailer

85%

of animals are factory farmed in the UK

56%

of the UK public oppose factory farming

90%

of pigs are killed in CO2 gas chambers

Don’t buy it

In April 2026, the Ban CO2 Gas Chambers campaign hit the London Underground.

With Diane Morgan, Dr Amir Khan, Jen Brister, Mathew Pritchard, and Shabaz Ali alongside us, we put one message in front of millions of commuters:

Don’t buy it.

When chickens can’t stand up in factory farms, pigs are being killed in gas chambers and our Sunday roast comes with a side of antibiotics, it’s time to take a stand. Because this isn’t a few bad apples. It’s the whole orchard.

Action We’re Taking

We’re taking the message beyond the screen. Visibility across London, people on the ground, and growing a movement to expose the deceits of factory farming.

Factory Farming is Messed Up

Ever get the feeling you’re being lied to?

When most people think of farms, they picture grassy fields, and happy animals like we see in the ads. But over the past 80 years, small-scale farming has been replaced by dirty industrial systems. We’re talking abscesses in meat, gas chambers, piglet thumping, cannibalism, filth, disease, mutilations, flies, rotting carcases, and antibiotic-riddled meat.
